# About Us As of 7 October 2020, Telford Makerspace is a *Registered Charity*, number 1191698. Telford Makerspace is a group of community-focused tinkerers, makers and hackers based at the back of the Belfrey Theatre and Arts Centre, in Wellington. We're aiming to help people learn new skills, design, build and mend gadgets and most of all have FUN, using arts and crafts, electronics, programming, 3D printing, laser cutting and even more traditional manual tools and powered machinery. We have regular sessions on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings, and occasional Sunday daytime. During the pandemic restrictions, we are limiting attendence to 4 people to maintain social distancing effectively, but you will normally you would find 3 - 5 people here, working on various things such as gifts for family members; cool replica gadgets from TV series or films; or fixtures for the Makerspace, using electronics/soldering, 3D printing, wood-work, programming and whatever equipment and techniques are appropriate. We love to share what we know, or what we're learning and we'll usually have a go at anything - we're all learning together! Occasionally, we run special sessions (which are open to the public) such as pallet-wood furniture making; 3D printing; stop-motion animation; Raspberry Pi robots; and so on. Check out our Newsletter for upcoming events. You might like to read our [Constitution](about_us/constitution) to find out how we operate, but this will be updated in due course to show our new *Charitable Objects*, the equivalent document for charities.
